About Alan S. Garrett
From a cabin in the countryside Alan enjoys writing and also dabbles a bit in poetry, music, and photography. In the past, he has worked professionally in the fields of computers, retail electronics, music, and archaeology. Although there was that time he was a driver for vehicles going through auto auctions -- until a car caught on fire with him in it. Luckily there were no injuries sustained but it did cause him to rethink his initial career choice.
He has completed over 150 hours of credit (after attempting over 180) at five different colleges and universities, and managed to never graduate with a single degree. He still maintains an interest in electronics, continues to write music, has maintained a membership in the Texas Archaeological Society over two decades, and is also a member of NAMI. To this day he absolutely refuses to drive another nearly broken down vehicle through an auto auction.
